About the Author
Dr. Lopa Gupta is a Stanford-trained, Board-certified oculoplastic surgeon who, over the past 25 years, has crafted a niche, bespoke practice in no-scalpel eyelid and festoon surgery using laser and radiowave technology. She is the creator of MIDFACE, a minimally-invasive procedure that draws festoon sufferers from around the globe to reclaim their faces and lives. MIDFACE is published in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has been presented at international conferences.
In 1991, Dr. Gupta married fellow Northwestern Honors Program alum Dr. Mantu Gupta, who is Chair of Urology at Mount Sinai West in New York and one of the leading minimally-invasive kidney stone surgeons in the world. They have raised three beautiful children together, Sarina, Dilan, and Kasmira, their names serving as the inspiration for SaDilKa, a non-profit the family founded 20 years ago for humanitarian missions in impoverished areas.
